The ocean sparkles with phosphorescence, as the dolphins play with the bow waves
Sending green luminescence into the dark night air into which we sail
How excited are they, as they fly from the sea to the sky, and back to the sea again
How amazed are we, with the pure effervescence of a night time in the ocean
With the sea sparkle reflected in the twinkling stars, like diamonds in the sky

This painting and poetry are inspired by my wonderful experience of night sailing in a fast ocean racer while sailing across the Atlantic Ocean. It was both exciting and exhilarating and created memories for me for a lifetime! Hopefully by viewing my art and reading my poem, you too can share my wonderful ocean sailing experience!
